The Shapiro Campus Center will not be open 24 hours a day during finals due to the budgetary constraints of the Division of Student Life. Assistant Dean of Student Life Alwina Bennett is expected to make the announcement this Sunday to the Student Union Senate.
Student Union President Jenny Feinberg 07 gave her State of the Union address Tuesday night in the Shapiro Atrium. Feinberg spoke on a number of topics, including finance reform, academic issues, and Union Initiatives.
As the President of this organization, I see no other way to govern than to assert the most passion into our microcosm of the real world and gain an intimate understanding of our school. And that has been my approach in guiding the Student Union this semester, said Feinberg in her address.

University President Jehuda Reinharz has been awarded an honoray doctorate degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, according to a University Press Release. Reinharz was honored for his leadership of Brandeis, his commitment to social justice, and his work as a scholar, said the release.
The University admissions office no longer offers rolling Early Decision as an option for undergraduate applicants. Rolling Early Decision, unlike typical Early Decision gaurantees students that their application will be reviewed in the order received.
Assistant Vice President for Students and Enrollment Brian Walton will leave Brandeis next semester, as will Assistant Registrar Robin Parks-McConnell.
