Continuing with the successes that they have been experiencing all season, the Brandeis Ski Team posted another outstanding performance this weekend. The team was able to rank themselves 2nd overall in their division out of the 8 teams present at the competition this Saturday. The race took place in Ascutney, New Hampshire and the Brandeis athletes competed in the Slalom race. It is hoped that this performance and others will soon increase Brandeis standing in the Collegiate ski rankings.
Captain of the team Robbie Schwartz 08 is very excited about their performance and is optimistic about future exhibitions. I think we had a strong showing commented Schwartz concerning the recent competition. He went on to say that he believed that the team would be able to increase our rank in the upcoming meets. After results such as these, that conclusion seems probable.
The Brandeis team currently ranks third in the nation, just behind Yale. Schwartz and other members believe that they can out-perform Yale and place even higher towards the end of the season. This weekends competition is a good warm-up for the Division Three National competition up the road and indicates the strong showing of the Brandeis Ski Team.
