Join The Hoot
The Hoot was established in 2005 because students felt that Brandeis needed a community newspaper written about, by, and for the members of the Brandeis community. We want you to join that effort. Stop by our office on a Thursday or speak to one of our editors about contributing to The Hoot.

Get Involved
1. Contact an editor to write an article or photograph an event.
2. Stop by production night on Thursday to help with layout or the website.
3. Send an e-mail to eic [at] thebrandeishoot.com if you are interested in getting involved with business, advertising or distribution.
4. Submit your opinion article or letter to the editor electronically to letters [at] thebrandeishoot.com by Tuesday at 8 p.m. Letters must include contact information and should not be more than 500 words; unsolicited columns should not exceed 800 words.
5. Become a regular columnist in the Impressions section by showing a commitment to writing on a specific topic on a regular basis.
6. Inquire about the possibility of applying for an editor or deputy editor position.
